Qualifications, Education and Skills
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma is necessary but would be asset.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
Specific Skills: Use sewing guides and tension devices. Operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Sitting. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Knowledge for Type of Materials: Leather. Cotton or synthetic. Personal Suitability: Accurate. Judgement. Reliability.
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual skill. Attention to detail.
We have a part-time (32 hours per week) position, Hours of work can be flexible, include evenings and occasionally weekends. WE pay a living wage, and rates are negotiated depending on level of experience and productivity.
