Brennan McKay

Communications – Healing Trails Brennan Mckay is an Ojibwe from the Pine Creek First Nation, Manitoba located north of Dauphin MB. Completed high school at Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School (DRCSS) in 2014. Attended Aboriginal School of Dance in 2014-2015, performed at various indigenous events throughout the city of Winnipeg.  Recent 2020 graduate from CDI College with Social Media marketing diploma. Currently, Brennan is the Social Media and Communications Strategist for the Healing Trails project at the Winnipeg Trails Association.

Janell Henry

Project Manager – Healing Trails Janell Henry is an Ojibwe from the Roseau River First Nation (MB.) She completed high-school at ICSP in St.Pierre Jolys in 2009 (MB). Janell’s media experiences started in 2008 as an intern at CKOP 100.5 FM Renegade Rez Radio in her home community. In 2012, Janell graduated from The Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts then continued her studies in the Psychology and Rhetoric, Writing and Communications departments at the University of Winnipeg. Santan Singh

Active Transportation Planner Santan Singh is from Punjab, India. With a background in Urban and Regional planning from India and a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba, he focuses on the active transportation planning for the Winnipeg Trails Association. Santan is a former City of Winnipeg intern who has researched extensively on transportation planning, age-friendly cities, urban design in winter cities, healthy cities, Indigenous planning and Waste Diversion. Santan also has interests in zoning and subdivisions, land-use planning, GIS mapping and policy planning.
